Mysore/Mysuru: Seeking fulfilment of their various demands, Railway employees under the banner of ‘South Western Railway Mazdoor Union’ registered their protest by wearing black bands while at work in the city on Monday.
They urged the Government to drop the moves for privatisation of Railways, scrapping of new pension scheme, release of withheld DA, revocation of the amendment to labour laws, allowances to all running employees and introduction of gratuity-based pension scheme, among others.
They also demanded that all staff who worked during the Corona crisis risking their health be paid a special allowance.
