Mysuru: This year’s Raitha Dasara will be held at J.K. Grounds from Sept. 22-24, said Raitha Dasara Sub-Committee President Chowhalli Puttaswamy.
Addressing press persons at the ZP Hall here yesterday, he said that the event would be inaugurated by District in-Charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa.
Prior to the inauguration, farmers will take out a procession from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple to J.K. Grounds on Bullock Carts accompanied by various folk troupes. The procession will be flagged off by Agriculture Minister Krishna Bhyregowda.
The Committee has also oragnised sack race, boulder lifting, running race carrying fertiliser bag, lemon & spoon race on Sept. 23. The following day, State Level Cow Milking competition will be held.
Animal Husbandry Minister A. Manju will take part in the valedictory event on Sept. 24.
Sub-Committee Working President K.M. Somasundar, Vice-Presidents Ramesh, Mahadev, Hirehalli Somesh and others were present.
