Mysore/Mysuru: Rajbhasha Diwas and main programme of Hindi Fortnight was celebrated at Central Sericultural Research and Training Institute (CSRTI), Mysuru, on Sept.14.
Devasahaayam, ADRM of South Western Railway, Mysuru, who was the chief guest, said Hindi is a very easy and simple language. It is emerging as a popular language and picking up fast on par with other languages in terms of popularity. As Official Language of Central Government, we have to use it in day to day official work.
Director of the Institute Dr. Pankaj Tiwari, who presided urged all the Scientists, Officers and Officials to make progressive use of Hindi in official work. He said that Hindi is also the link language of India.
Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions held during the Hindi Fortnight as also to those who transacted their official work originally in Hindi. Apart from this, those sections who outstandingly contributed to the usage of Hindi in the Institute were awarded a citation.
Besides individual Official Language shields were given to the Scientists/Officials who contributed immensely/excelled in propagation of Hindi as Official Language.
Deputy Director (O.L.) Surendra Kumar Upadhyay, compered the programme and presented an annual report in respect of use of Official Language in the Institute.
Sujatha, Assistant Director, rendered the invocation. Cultural programme was also organised on the occasion in which Supriya, JRF, recited devotional song. K. Sachi, Sr. Translator, proposed a vote of thanks. All the events were organised adhering to Covid-19 norms, according to a press release from CSRTI Deputy Director.
