New Delhi: The election to 10 vacant seats of the Rajya Sabha will be held on July 24.
The vacant seats are caused by the completion of the tenure of External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Trinamool Congress leader Derek O’Brien and others, whose term is set to expire between July 28 and Aug.18.
The voting for electing members to the 10 seats will take place at 5 pm on July 24 and the results will be announced the same day, according to the Election Commission of India.
The 10 seats include one from Goa, three from Gujarat and six from West Bengal States.
