Mysore/Mysuru: The Executive Committee Members of Krishik Sarvodaya Foundation (KSF), Mysore Branch, felicitated the recipient of Kannada Rajyotsava Award 2025, Dr. N. S. Ramegowda, former Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), who is also the President of KSF Mysore Branch and Trustee, at a function on Nov. 4 at its premises in city.
H. Kishore Chandra, Secretary of KSF Mysore, welcomed and highlighted the outstanding contributions of Dr. Ramegowda to the field of education and Kannada.
Dr. B. Shankar, Director (Academic), presented a detailed biography of Dr. Ramegowda, recalling his distinguished service in higher and distance education as the former Director of IGNOU and KSOU, CEO of BGS Institutions and his active role as Trustee and President of KSF Mysore.
K.M. Chandregowda, Trustee, who presided, recalled the significant contributions of Dr. Ramegowda to education and institutional development.
In his address, Dr. Ramegowda mentioned that 70 eminent personalities were honoured with the State Kannada Rajyotsava Award and expressed gratitude for the recognition.
B.K. Shivanna (Vice-Chairman), S.V. Gowdappa (Treasurer), P. Sharadamma, Prof. B.K. Jagadish, M.K. Jayaram and K.T. Veerappa. Faculty members, coordinators, BCA students and staff were present. Dr. B. Shankar proposed the vote of thanks.
