Ramabhyudaya Sabha’s Sri Ramothsava Sangeethotsava at Alamma’s Choultry

As part of its 133rd anniversary of Sri Ramothsava celebrations, Sri Ramabhyudaya Sabha Public Charitable Trust, Vinoba Road, Mysuru, has organised ‘Sangeethotsava – 2023,’ a series of concerts from Mar. 30 to Apr. 25 by various artistes of Chennai and Bengaluru. The concerts will be held everyday from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm at Alamma’s Choultry, near Moole Rama Mandira, Srirampet. The details are as follows:

March 30: 5.30 pm – Vidu. Jayanthi Kumaresh will inaugurate the programme. Industrialist Dr. M. Jagannath Shenoi will be the chief guest. Sri Ramabhyudaya Sabha Charitable Trust President Dr. N. Sriram will preside; 6.30 pm –  Veena Concert by Vidu. Jayanthi Kumaresh accompanied by Vid. Anantha R. Krishna on mridanga and Vid. Guruprasanna on kanjira.

March 31: 6.30 pm – Classical Vocal Concert by Palghat R. Ramaprasad accompanied by Vid. H.N. Bhaskar on violin, Vid. Anantha R. Krishna on mridanga and Vid. Giridhar Udupa on ghata.

April 1: 6.30 pm – Flute Duet by Vid. Herambha and Vid. Hemanth accompanied by Vid. Vishwesh Chandrashekar on violin, Vid. H.S. Sudhindra on mridanga and Vid. Shamit Gowda on ghata.

April 2: 10 am – Seetha Kalyana (Rama Mandira); 4.30 pm – Mass Vishnu Sahasranama Parayana followed by a discourse on ‘Vishnu Sahasranama’ by H.V. Nagaraja Rao; 6.30 pm – Vocal Concert by Vid. Ashwath Narayan accompanied by Vid. Vishwesh Chandrashekar on violin, Vid. K.V. Prasad on mridanga and Vid. G.S. Ramanujam on ghata.

April 3: 6.30 pm – Vocal Duet by Malladi Brothers — Vid. Malladi Sreeramprasad and Vid. Malladi Ravikumar — accompanied by Vid. Embar Kannan on violin, Vid. K.V. Prasad on mridanga and Vid. Giridhar Udupa on kanjira.

April 4: 6.30 pm – Sitar Recital by Vidu. Anupama Bhagavat accompanied by Pt. Ravindra Yavgal on tabla.

April 5: 6.30 pm – Vocal Concert by Vidu. Aishwarya Vidhya Raghunath accompanied by Vidu. Nalina Mohan on violin, Vid. B.S. Prashanth on mridanga and Vid. Sharath Kaushik on ghata.

April 6: 6.30 pm – Vocal Concert by Vidu. Nandini accompanied by Vid. Mattur Srinidhi on violin, Vid. B.C. Manjunath on mridanga and Vid. G.S. Ramanujam on ghata.

April 7: 6.30 pm – Vocal Duet by Vid. Prasanna Venkatraman and Vid. Rithvik Raja accompanied by Vid. H.N. Bhaskar on violin, Vid. Delhi Sairam on mridanga and Vid. B. Rajashekar on morching.

April 11: Hanumanthotsava; 6.30 pm – Procession in Raja Beedi, Nadaswara Vidwan Parthasarathy and team; 8 pm – Mahamangalarathi and Prasada Viniyoga.

April 12: Shayanotsava; 6.30 pm – Devaranama by Vidu. Pooja Sugam and team.

April 13: Olagudi Utsava; 6.30 pm: Classical Music by Vidu. Chaitrika and team.

April 25: Sri Shankara Jayanti. Abhisheka and Archane to Sri Shankara Bhagavath Padaru. Mahamangalarathi and Prasada Viniyoga in association with Sri Chidambareshwaraswamy.

Sabha has also organised discourse on ‘Ramayana’ at Rama Mandira daily from March 30 to April 8 from 5 pm to 6 pm by K. Ramachandra, retd. Engineer.
