Mysuru: City’s dancers Badari Divya Bhushan and Dr. Anjana Bhushan, Directors of Bhushans’ Academy of Performing Arts and Visual Presentation, presented “Ramanuja Dhanurdasa Vybhavam,” a unique musical dance extravaganza choreographed for the Sahasramanothsava (Millenium) celebrations of Sri Ramanujacharya, at Melukote recently.
The ballet was a love story set in 10th century between a Jatti (wrestler) Dhanurdasa and a dancer Ponnachi, who get reformed by Saint Ramanujacharya. The concept was by Dr. Shalvapille Iyengar; Choreography, music, script, natuvanga and narration by Badari Divya Bhushan; Technical support and research by Dr. Anjana Bhushan.
