Ramarajya Ratha arrives in city

Mysuru: Ramarajya Ratha Yatre, which arrived in city on Saturday, was accorded a warm welcome at Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple here the same evening.

The function was organised jointly by Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP) and Bajarang Dal.

The Ratha Yatre was flagged off by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and VHP International Secretary Sampath Roy on Feb. 12 from Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.

The Yatre, after covering Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, arrived in Karnataka. Next it will move on to Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Speaking on the occasion, Sri Shakti Shantananda Swamiji of Sri Ramadas Mission, Kerala, said that the purpose of taking out the Yatre was to re-establish the Ramarajya. He further said that the Yatre spread the message of Sri Rama to the world.

Several Swamijis and members of various organisations received the Ratha Yatre on its arrival in city from Srirangapatna at the Fountain Circle in N.R. Mohalla.

RSS leader M. Venkataram, Bajarang Dal Convenor Suryanarayan, VHP City President N.K. Rajendra Babu, Secretary V.B. Pradeep Kumar and others were present.
