Mysuru: The Bharatanatya Rangapravesha of Spoorthi S. Rao (in pic.) will be held on June 3 (Saturday) at Jaganmohan Palace auditorium in city at 6 pm. Dr. Sheela Sridhar, Asst. Professor, University College of Fine Arts and D. Sudhanva, Managing Director, Excelsoft Technologies, Mysuru, will be chief guests. The event will presided by Dr. R.N. Srilatha, retd. Principal, University College of Fine Arts.
Profile: Born to Pooja and Sudarshan Rao couple, Spoorthi learnt Bharatanatya from Vidu. Kripa Phadke at Nrityagiri Academy of Performing Arts and Research Centre. A student of Excel Public School, Spoorthi emerged as topper of Mysuru Centre in the Junior Bharatanatya examination conducted by KSEEB with 92 percent marks.
She has taken part in many prestigious dance programmes like Nrityagiri Nirtyasaptaha, Shivaratri Mahotsava and World Dance Day. She will be accompanied by Vidu. Kripa Phadke on natuvanga, Vidu. Rajeshwari Pandit on vocal, Vid. Vikram Bharadwaj on mridanga and Vid. S. Rakesh on flute.
