Mysuru: Nadavidyalaya Academy of Music and Dance, Hebbal, has organised Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha of H. Sai Prarthana Rao, disciple of Vidushi Mithra Naveen on Jan.7 (Saturday) at 5.30 pm at RamaGovinda Rangamandira in Ramakrishnanagar here.
Vidushi Choodamani Rao, Bharatanatyam artiste, Vidwan M. Rudraradhya, Medical Records Officer, NIMHANS and violinist, Bengaluru; Sneha Sudheendra (Vyjayanthimala) Akashvani Sugama Sangeetha artiste, Mysuru, will be the guests of honour. Guru Vidushi Mithra Naveen will be felicitated during Guru Vandanam.
Programme direction, Choreography and Nattuvangam will be by Vidushi Mithra Naveen while Vidwan Naveen M.S. Andagar will be on vocal, Vidwan Vivek Krishna on flute, Vidwan G. S. Nagraj on mridanga and Dr. Bhuvaneshwari (compere) will accompany Sai Prarthana for her maiden solo dance performance.
H. Sai Prarthana Rao, daughter of Gayathri Shivasharan and Shivasharan, is a dedicated and passionate disciple of Guru Vidushi Mithra Naveen. An Engineer by profession, Prarthana is presently working in HCL. Artistically she is pursuing her Bharatanatyam Vidwat grade of KSEEB and she has given numerous programmes showcasing her highly enthusiastic and captivating performance.
