Rangasampada troupe to stage ‘Lokada Olahorage’ tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: Marking its 50th anniversary, city’s theatre group ‘Rangasampada’ will enact the play ‘Lokada Olahorage’ at Natana Rangashale in Ramakrishnanagar here on Oct.7.

Announcing this at a press meet recently,  ‘Rangasampada’ President J. Lokesh said that the play will be performed at 6.30 pm.

The play, directed by B. Suresh, is based on Rabindranath Tagore’s Bengali novel ‘Ghare Byre’ written in 1916, he said adding that the play is being performed in Mysuru for the first time. The play is the 25th adaptation by Suresh and the 50th one he has directed.

Director Suresh said that the play has been earlier performed at Bengaluru’s Kalagrama, Rangashankara and Ravindra Kalakshetra. Pointing out that the play received good response at Bengaluru, he said that there will be entry ticket for the play in city.
