Mysuru – City’s theatre repertory Rangayana will be abuzz with hectic activities for a month starting tomorrow as over 300 children will descend at the venue to take part in the month-long summer camp Chinnara Mela, which will be inaugurated tomorrow evening.
The kids, who are expected to arrive at the venue tomorrow morning, will be briefed about the camp activities.
Chinnara Mela-2017, to be held from April 10 to May 10, will be inaugurated by National Bravery award winner Siya Khode of Hubballi at Vanaranga in Rangayana premises tomorrow at 5 pm.
Kalashri awardee and International yoga exponent Kushi of Mysuru will be the chief guest. Kannada and Culture Department Director K.A. Dayanand, who is also the Acting Rangayana Director, will preside. Rangayana Dy. Director Nirmala Mathapati and Chinnara Mela-2017 Camp Director Mime Ramesh will be present.
The camp, organised for children aged between 7 and 14 years, will be held from 10 am to 5 pm everyday.
The unique camp features various theatre activities to help children discover themselves through song, dance, drawing, handicrafts, interaction with thinkers, etc., according to the organisers.
