Sir,
The entry provided by the Railways to different Railway platforms from KRS Road side (opposite CFTRI) is of immense help to the passengers staying towards Vontikoppal side.
But when a train arrives at the platforms close to KRS Road, utter chaos prevails at the junction of KRS Road and the small road leading to the platforms, blocking free movement of vehicles in both the directions on KRS Road and to the platforms. All the vehicles enter and exit at the same point on KRS Road. With a small modification, Traffic Police can totally get rid of the chaos at this junction.
At the exit point, Traffic Police should erect a “No Right Turn” signboard. It should be strictly ensured that all the vehicles coming out of Railway Station and moving towards Vontikoppal side should compulsorily drive towards city side and then take the Road opening — which is very wide — in front of CFTRI to move towards Vontikoppal side.
The opening in front of the small road leading to Railway platform should be exclusively dedicated as entry point and free right at this opening should be banned.
Traffic Police may also erect a couple of signboards indicating ‘No Right Turn’ on the small stretch of the Road leading to KRS Road from the Railway Station platforms, as an advance caution to the motorists.
