Mysore/Mysuru: Former FKCCI(Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry) immediate past President Sudhakar S. Shetty has asked entrepreneurs to register their Industry patent.
He was speaking at an awareness workshop on ‘Intellectual Property Rights and GME (Government E-Market Place) Portal’ jointly organised by the Union Ministry for MSME (Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises),MSME Development Institute, Bengaluru and Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry(MCCI) at a private Hotel here recently.
Stressing on the need for new entrepreneurs to register their Industry patent, Logo and Trademark, Sudhakar Shetty cautioned that, otherwise, there is every chance of misuse of logo and trademark by others.
Warning that others may gain from the hard earned name and fame of entrepreneurs who fail to get their patent, logo and trademark registered,he said that with online system of trading coming to the fore, there is every chance of misuse of creative ideas, logo and trademark.
As such, the entrepreneurs should always be watchful of their products and ensure that there is no mischief in the manufacture or marketing of their products.
MSME Director G. R. Akadas, Deputy Director M. Shashikumar, Intellectual Property Rights Head Prof. Ramakrishna, MCCI President A.S. Satish and others were present.
