Mysuru Zoo will be organising Youth Club activities from July to December 2019, only on Sundays between 10 am and 1.30 pm. Students aged 12 to 18 years may enrol for the Club. Those selected will be exposed to various activities of Zoo education and wildlife conservation; to acquaint knowledge about the variety and value of wildlife and captive management of wild animals. They will also be exposed to periodic theory classes and practical works in up-keeping, feeding, animal behaviour studies, visitor’s survey, keeper interaction and visitor interaction. Interested students may obtain applications from the Zoo during office hours from July 6 and submit them with 3 stamp sized colour photos, marks card copy, blood group certificate and an amount of Rs.1,000 for enrollment. Selection is through first-come-first-serve basis and the last day for registration is July 15, according to a press release.
