Regulate traffic on Kalidasa Road

Sir,

This refers to the letter titled “Never-ending travails on Kalidasa Road”  by K. Chandrahas in Star of Mysore dated Apr. 8.  He has rightly pointed out how the pedestrians are not provided proper pavement for easy movement, in spite of having enough space along the length of the Kalidasa Road.

Further, the traffic signal is being put to use regularly. The stretch from Temple Road to Panchavati Circle is made ‘one-way’ by the traffic authorities.

But still one can come across some vehicles, especially two-wheelers, that are not adhering to ‘one-way-rule.’  The traffic violators are not only risking themselves but also putting the lives of other motorists and pedestrians in danger.
