Two books, ‘Kavaludaari’ and ‘Bhoothayi Nakkaaga’, written by A.Vijayakumari, popularly known by her pen name ‘Vijaya Shankara’ will be released at Akkana Balaga auditorium, 5th Cross, Thyagaraja Road, Mysuru, on Mar.8 at 10.30 am. The function is jointly organised by Hiranmayi Foundation and Cauvery Balaga.
Bannur K. Raju, a noted writer, will release two works. L Shivalingappa, Founder-President of Mysuru Art Gallery will preside. Dr. C.G. Ushadevi, retired professor, will speak on the books. Vijayakumari has identified herself in children’s literature and has contributed 25 books to Kannada literature.
On this occasion, a poet’s meet will be held and Dr. Jamunarani Mirle will inaugurate. Around 20 poets from various places will read poems. H.V. Muralidhar, District President, Karnataka Jnana Vijnana Samiti, A. Sangappa, President, Hiranmayi Foundation and N.K. Kaveramma, Chairperson, Cauvery Balaga will be present.
