Release of books on Wadiyars

Mysuru: The two books on Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar and Jayachamaraja Wadiyar, edited by Prof. Y.H. Nayakwadi, Senior Professor and Chairman, Department of Studies in History, University of Mysore (UoM), will be released under the aegis of Sri Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Chair, on Jan. 27 at 11 am at Rani Bahadur auditorium, Manasagangothri in the city.

The books titled Mysore Under Krishnaraja Wadiyar IV: Political, Social and Economic Transition and Mysore Under Jayachamaraja Wadiyar: Transition from Monarchy to Democracy and another titled Trends in Historiography of Karnataka will be released by MLA G.T. Devegowda.

UoM Vice-Chancellor  Prof. N.K. Lokanath will inaugurate the programme. Prof. C.P. Siddashrama, retired Professor, Kuvempu Institute for Kannada Studies (KIKS), UoM, Prof. K. Sadashiva, Senior Professor, Department of Studies in History, UoM and Prof. A. Satyanarayan, retired Professor, Department of History, Osmania University, Hyderabad, will be speaking on the books.

Prof. N. Saraswathi, Visiting Professor, Sri Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Study Chair, Department of Studies in History, UoM, will be present.

Prof. Y.H. Nayakwadi will be presiding over the programme.
