Mysore/Mysuru: ‘Smriti Samskruthika Sankathana,’ the autobiography of Vikram Chaduranga, son of renowned Kannada littérateur Chaduranga, will be released on July 28 at 11 am at Veene Seshanna Bhavan, Kuvempunagar in the city.
The book has been published by D. N. Lokappa of Samvahana Prakashana that has been in the business for the past four decades. Samvahana Prakashana has brought out all forms of literary works like fictions, poetries and novels, besides of the fields of education, medicine and others, catering to the people irrespective of young and old, with the publications numbering around 1,500 books.
The autobiography of Vikram Chaduranga gives a peek into the life of his father Chaduranga and several details related to married life of his parents — Chaduranga and Doddammanni. As Chaduranga belonged to erstwhile royal family of Mysore, the book also gives a closer look of finer details related to the Palace, which no other historians were able to record in their works.
Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion while noted scholar Prof. Hampa Nagarajaiah (Hampana) will release the book. Prof. Kamala Hampana will also participate in the event. Dr. Padma Shekar will introduce the book to the audience, while Suraj Hegde will receive the first copy of the book. Writer Vikram Chaduranga and Publisher D. N. Lokappa will also be present.
