Mysuru: A religious discourse on ‘Meghathin Daham’ and ‘Piriya Vidai’ by Vachaspathy Dr. U.Ve. Anantha Padmanabhachar Swamy has been organised at Sree Andal Mandiram Trust premises, Temple Road, V.V. Mohalla, on Mar.6 (6 pm to 8 pm) and Mar.7 (4 pm to 6 pm).
The programme is organised by Sree Andal Mandiram Trust, Mysuru, in association with Sree Ramanuja Sahasramana Sabha Trust, Sree Ramanuja Seva Prathishtanam, Mysuru, Sree Vedanta Desika Sabha Trust, Srirangapatna and Hebbar Sreevaishnava Rural District Upa Sabha.
Profile: Vachaspathy Dr. U.Ve. Mukundagiri Vangeepuram Anantha Padmanabhachar (APN) Swamy, son of Sri Vangeepuram Narasimhachar Swamy and Ramamani, hails from Mukundagiri, well-known for the temple of Sree Kodanda Rama Perumal and Sree Srinivas Perumal. After his initial education in Chennai, Dr. APN Swamy obtained Shiromani in Mimamsa from Madras Sanskrit College after studying for five years and completed his MA, M.Phil and Ph.D from Vivekananda College, Chennai. He also completed Diploma in Vaishnavism from Madras University.
Swamy is well-versed in Tamil, Sanskrit, English, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam. Dr. APN Swamy has initiation into Sreevaishnava Sampradayam under 44th Azagiya Shingar and became a shishya of the ancient Ahobila Mutt. He has acquired in-depth knowledge and proficiency in Hindu religion and Shasthras, Vedas, Divyaprabandham and Visistadvaitha Siddantham through Kalakshepam as shishya of great scholars. He is the Editor of Tamil Magazine ‘Narasimha Priya.’
