Sir,
I am deeply saddened to hear about Dr. Indrani, CFTRI scientist, who passed away in an accident in Lucknow recently.
She was absolutely the best teacher I ever had and she was one of my favourite teachers too. I was a student in International School of Milling Technology, CFTRI, Mysore (32nd batch student) in 2012-2013. Dr. Indrani used to teach us Cereal Science, which is the heart of Milling Technology.
She played a vital role in shaping of our lives. She had deep knowledge about Bread and gave us amazing knowledge during practicals.
Henry Brooks Adams had said, “A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.” Thanks to her encouragement, I started a small bread manufacturing unit, Jadhav Foods. She gave me all information and technique to set up the plant which has now completed three years and running successfully. Whenever I had any problem in my unit, I would call her and she would solve it.
Though she is not amidst us today she will always remain in our hearts forever. RIP
