Mysuru: MLC Marithibbegowda inaugurated the renovated building of Sri Krishna Gana Sabha (Alwar Kala Bhavan) located in Gokulam here on Saturday.
Former MLA Vasu, who was also present at the event, later addressed the gathering and lauded the contribution of Mysore Maharajas in the field of health and education. “One of the best example is Maharani’s College where thousands of girls are studying. All the heritage buildings including that of University of Mysore have been built by the Maharajas,” he said.
“The building of Sri Krishna Gana Sabha has been renovated using MLA’s Local Area Development Fund. Tax-payers money is being spent in a meaningful way. I wish Sri Krishna Gana Sabha Charitable Trust would continue to promote and preserve our rich heritage through its cultural activities,” he said.
The event culminated with classical music programme by Vidu. M.V. Jyothi.
Bhramara Trust Managing Trustee Madhuri Thathachari, Sabha President B.S. Sridhar Raje Urs, Corporator SBM Manju and others were present during the inauguration.
