Sir,
We the residents of Jayalakshmipuram use Kalidasa Road very often for our various shopping needs. There is no proper walking path (footpath) at all, particularly on the stretch from Panchavati Circle towards Chandrakala Hospital. The whole path is so uneven that it is impossible to walk risking our lives.
Adding to this, the shop owners have occupied the walk path to their convenience. Now the MCC is laying interlocking tiles on most of the footpaths across the city and it is a welcome sign. If this stretch is taken up on priority it will help a lot of people residing in the surrounding areas.
I request the area Corporator as well as the MCC officials concerned to consider providing a smooth walk path on priority and help senior citizens and others. Currently, all of us are walking on the road risking our lives.
