Mysuru: A retired school headmaster of city was found dead at Srisailam in Andhra Pradesh on Aug. 4 and his identity came to be known only last night. Parashivamurthy (61), a resident of Sardar Vallabhai Patel Nagar in city and a retired headmaster of Keelanapura Government School in the taluk, is the deceased.
Parashivamurthy is said to have left the city for Srisailam last week and is said to have ended his life by consuming poison.
Passersby who noticed the body of a 60-year-old unidentified man near the APSRTC Bus Stand at Srisailam on the morning of Aug. 4, informed the local Police, who rushed to the spot and shifted the body to a local mortuary.
Srisailam Police who had registered a case in this regard, succeeded in identifying the body with the help of a sticker found on his shirt which mentioned as Karthik Tailors, T. Narasipura, it is learnt. A death note found on his person had reportedly asked for his cremation at Srisailam itself. But the note is said to have no mention for the reason for his extreme step.
The family members of the deceased Parashivamurthy have left for Srisailam. He leaves behind his wife, two sons, with one of them living in the US.
