Mysuru: Bhoomika Gelayara Balaga had organised a function at a hotel in city yesterday to felicitate Marigowda, retired Sub-Inspector, Devaraja Traffic Police Station, along with his wife.
Speaking on the occasion, columnist Gubbigowda Ramesh commended the 40 years of service of Marigowda in the Police Department. Despite the stress of work, Ramesh opined that Police personnel should behave politely and courteously with public.
He pointed out that Marigowda came under that category as he had served as a writer for a good length of time and hence could understand the problems of public. He felt that Police Personnel should develop a liking for literature to pen their experiences during career.
Mayor M.J. Ravikumar, retired Senior Police Officer Shankaregowda, former MP Siddaraju, former Chairman of KSIC Abu Mohammed, former Corporator Somasunder, former ZP President B.M. Ramu and others were present.
