Mysore/Mysuru: Senior advocate C.V. Keshavamurthy, Legal Advisor to Mysore Pinjrapole Society at the foot of Chamundi Hill in city, has condemned the decision of the authorities concerned to shift the proposed Veterinary Clinic of Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, sanctioned to Pinjrapole to S. Uthanahalli in the outskirts.
Addressing media persons at Pathrakartara Bhavan in city recently, Keshavamurthy said “The Veterinary Clinic was earlier planned to be built at Pinjrapole, which has been taking care of over 3,500 cattle, including those rescued while transporting them to slaughter houses, injured in accidents and also those abandoned by cattle-rearers. Hence, it was very much necessary to establish the Veterinary Clinic here and even the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services had provided all the required facilities.”
“Now, on the instructions of Zilla Panchayat, the proposed Clinic has been shifted to S. Uthanahalli. The authorities concerned should revoke the decision and continue with the earlier proposal of building the Clinic at Pinjrapole,” he demanded.
Mysore Pinjrapole Society’s Sumatilal Pagariya, Surendra Kumar and Vinod and Sanjay of Sri Rama Sene were present.
