Pillion rider escapes with minor injuries
Mysuru: two-wheeler rider was killed while the pillion rider sustained minor injuries after falling from the scooter they were riding on Mysuru-Doora Main Road on Sunday evening.
While the deceased has been identified as Mahesh (32), a resident of Madapura village in Hullahalli hobli, the injured is Ravi.
On Saturday, Mahesh, an agriculturist and also a cook, along with his friend Ravi, who had been to Mysuru on his Honda Dio scooter (KA-09-JT-0827) were on their way towards Doora village on the scooter on Sunday evening, when the rider lost control of the scooter near Somanna’s farm resulting in both Mahesh and Ravi falling from the scooter.
Mahesh, who sustained serious injuries, was being shifted in an ambulance to K.R. Hospital in Mysuru but he is said to have breathed his last midway. Ravi escaped with minor injuries.
Meanwhile, Mahesh’s father in his complaint has stated that eyewitnesses said that Ravi was riding the scooter when a dog suddenly came before the scooter, resulting in Ravi losing control of the vehicle and both falling from the scooter.
Jayapura Police have registered a case in this regard.
