Rider killed as goods auto hits bike

Mysore/Mysuru: A two-wheeler rider was killed on the spot, when a goods auto allegedly hit  his mobike near Hosahalli on Siddaramanahundi Road on Monday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Prabhuswamy (56), a resident of Vatalupura village in T. Narasipur taluk.

Prabhuswamy, who had gone to Pillahalli on some work, was on his way back, when the tragedy struck.

A goods auto hit the bike from behind near Hosahalli.

Following the impact of accident, Prabhuswamy fell off the vehicle and sustained serious head injuries and breathed his last on the spot.

Varuna Police, who rushed to the spot shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem. The body was handed over to the family  members after post-mortem, according to Sub-Inspector Chethan. A case has been registered.
