Riders killed as car rams into bike

Mysore/Mysuru: Two youths riding a bike were killed when a car rammed into their bike on Nachanahalli Palya on Saturday late night.

The deceased are Gajendra (32) and Rajesh (22), both residents of B.B. Colony in Mandi Mohalla. Gajendra and Rajesh, who had been to T. Narasipur to attend the marriage of a relative on Saturday, were returning to city on their Hero Honda Splendor bike (KA-55-H-7871) and when they were proceeding near a petrol bunk at Nachanahalli Palya, a Hyundai 120 car (KA-09-MA-5277), which came from the opposite direction, rammed into the bike resulting in Rajesh being killed on the spot and Gajendra breathing his last on the way to a hospital, according to Police.

Deceased Rajesh and Gajendra were working as Pourakarmikas. While Rajesh was working in the MCC’s Abhaya team, Gajendra was working in T. Narasipur Taluk Office, it is learnt. K.R. Traffic Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
