I feel sorry about the pathetic state of the Ring Road, most part of which lies in pitch darkness while the city roads are glittering with colourful lights, thanks to the Dasara Illumination Sub-Committee.
Well, the Ring Road happens to be the entry road to Mysuru from all directions and with much traffic inside city it is a much sought after road for entry and exit from and to other places. Ring Road which comes under National Highways has become an orphan with both Central Government and the State Government not willing to take care.
In the absence of proper lighting, the Ring Road with all those innumerable bars and liquor shops has become a haven for all sorts of criminal and immoral activities. It’s not too late now to light up the Ring Road while tourists from all parts of India and abroad are visiting Mysuru and let their safety be taken care of by Namma Mysuru.
