Mysuru: An art show titled ‘Rituals of Birth and Death’ has been organised below the Badsha’s Pride, #11, Nelson Mandela Road, Bannimantap, in city from Dec.16 to 23.
The show, featuring display by Anilchandran (installation), H.R. Dwarakanath (paintings), S. Ganesh (prints/installation), Shoib Chadkhan (sound installation), Sujan Ghosh (paintings), Yuvaraj (painting/sculpture) and Uday Ramesh (sculpture/installation), will be inaugurated at 5.30 pm on Dec.16 and will be open from 10.30 am to 5.30 pm till Dec.23.
On Dec.16, there will be a talk by Prof. M.A. Narasimhan and G. Suresh Kumar from 5.30 pm onwards.
From Dec.16 to 23, videos by G.S. Bhavani (Angaha Kali), Smitha Cariappa (Aesthetication of the Dead) and Uday Ramesh will be shown.
From Dec.21 to 23, there will be performance and workshop by Avril Unger; Dramaturge – workshop with students by Feliras Stilleke and performance by Smitha Cariappa.
