Road humps sans white stripes in Hebbal 1st Stage

Sir,

A few months ago, news emerged concerning the loss of lives due to accidents caused by improperly laid road humps and the absence of white paint markings or caution signs.

Several such humps on the road from Shivananda School gate to Shreyas Medical Store in Hebbal 1st Stage lack any form of caution marking. Despite recent road asphalting/tarring, the responsible engineers have neglected to provide white paint stripes on these road humps for the safety of road users.

The Mysuru City Corporation officials have not taken any proactive measures to address this issue. During night-time, these unmarked humps pose a significant risk as they are not clearly visible, potentially leading to accidents if a two-wheeler rider suddenly applies brakes.

It is imperative that officials promptly address this matter and arrange for proper marking on the road humps to ensure the safety of tax-paying road users.
