Advanced Research Centre opened at Pharmacy College
Mysuru/Mysore: “Knowledge is a virtual asset which cannot be snatched by anyone and pursuing education needs total determination,” opined MP Pratap Simha.
He was speaking after launching the newly commenced course on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence of Sarada Vilas College at a function held at Sarada Vilas Centenary Hall in Krishnamurthypuram here on Saturday.
Pratap Simha opined that materialistic property could be stolen but not education and knowledge. He advised students to gain knowledge through education and become an asset to their parents. He recalled that Mysore Maharajas always promoted education in the city.
University of Mysore Registrar (Evaluation) Dr. K.M. Mahadevan suggested students to go after Goddess Sharade and not Goddess Lakshmi to earn knowledge first. He said that technology is vital in this modern world and opined that students should focus on continuous research.
HoloSuit CEO Harsha Kikkeri presented a demonstration on Robotics. He said that the robot was being developed in Mysuru and added that HoloSuit Robot Guru had entered the semi-final at the Avatar XPRIZE challenge being held in USA now.
Sarada Vilas Institutions President B.S. Parthasarathy, Hon. Secretary H.K. Srinath, Corporator M.V. Ramprasad and others were present.
Advanced Research Centre at Pharmacy College
Minister for Primary and Secondary Education S. Suresh Kumar inaugurated the Advanced Research Centre of Sarada Vilas Pharmacy College in Krishnamurthypuram on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Suresh Kumar opined that education should be meaningful and interestingly indulging so that students do not wait for the last bell of the institution.
He aimed to establish such a situation in all Government Schools so that parents should look forward to admit their children to Government Schools.
He asked students to utilise the facilities and opportunities to excel in career. He said that the new Education Policy is aimed to provide good education for all students to develop an all-round personality.
Interacting later with the students, the Minister observed that quality education was not available to meet the requirements of this competitive world. He opined that lack of professional skill was bringing down the employable factor.
He maintained that education in mother tongue is always effective but regretted that even the poor want their children to study in English medium which is dropping the admission in Government Schools. Hence, he said that Karnataka Public Schools have been opened at Government Schools.
