Mysuru: Rotary District 3181 is celebrating World Senior Citizens Day at the District-level on Oct.1 from 10 am to 2 pm at Rotary Mysore West Hall, Saraswathipuram, to discuss, deliberate and find solutions to the problems faced by senior citizens. The celebration-cum-seminar is conducted in association with Rotary Mysore West and Elder Citizens Council Trust, Jayalakshmipuram.
Aravind Jatti, President, Basava Samithi and son of late B.D. Jatti, former Vice-President of India, will be the chief guest and keynote speaker. He is an erudite Scholar, Philosopher and a speaker par excellence.
District Governor Rtn. Joseph Mathew will inaugurate the event. Rtn. B.S. Sridhara Raj Urs, Chairman of the Committee, will preside. Asst. Governor Rtn. B.M. Subbaraya will release the Bulletin brought out on the occasion. Selected senior citizens will be honoured on the occasion.
The seminar to be held at 12 noon will be presided by Rtn. Dr. B.R. Pai. Prof. Dr. Indira and Prof. Dr. V.K. Nataraj will be the guest speakers.
PDG Rtn. A.S.N.Hebbar will be the chief guest for the valedictory. Rtn. Reginald Wesley and S.V. Gowdappa will be present.
