Rotary Ivory City felicitates Police Constables

Mysuru: The Police Department has to work not only for long hours but also under various challenging situations, said Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Shanthamallappa  here recently.

Speaking at a programme organised by the Rotary Ivory City Mysore, he said it was unfortunate that the Police do not get due recognition and appreciation for their tireless dedication and bravery in safeguarding the general public and their communities.

“Even trivial issues lead to challenging task to Police in maintaining law and order,” he said and expressed gratitude to Rotary Ivory City for recognising the Police force for their dedication and hard work.

Club President Rtn. K. Shashidhar said among the many community services and initiatives of the Rotary Ivory City, this time four Police Constables were identified with the help of City Police Commissioner and were felicitated —  S. Satish Kumar (Nazarbad Police Station, Crime Division), D. Srinivas Prasad (Ashokapuram, Law and Order), Yenkavva Jagadale (Alanahalli, Woman Police) and E. Krishna (Krishnaraja, Traffic).

Many dignitaries, including Assistant Rotary District Governor Rtn. Dr. K.A. Prahalad and retired Police Officer J.B. Rangaswamy were present on the occasion.
