Rotary Club of Saragur was inaugurated at a glittering ceremony held at a Resort in Kabini near HD Kote by Past District Governor RI Dist. 3180 Rtn. M. Lakshminarayan on Mar.24. The new Club is sponsored by Rotary Ivory City Mysuru.
After inaugurating and installing the office-bearers of the new Club, he gave a brief account of the history of Rotary and its various activities.
Special mention was made about the contributions of Rotary Foundation for the last 100 years and its attempts to eradicate Polio from the face of earth.
On the occasion, Rotary Ivory City and Rotary Club of Saragur jointly honoured Ln. S.N. Padma Prasad for his contribution to the field of education.
Rtn. Dr. S.S. Raja was installed as the Charter President of Rotary Club of Saragur along with the following office-bearers:
Secretary – P. Prem Kumar, Treasurer – D. Nagendra, M. K. Shankar, G. Ramesh, P. Venugopal, C.K. Girish, Vinaykumar, Manjunath, Hanumanayak and Sakalesh.
Rotary Ivory City President Rtn. R. Muthukumaran presided. Rotary District 3181 Zone-7 Assistant Governor Rtn. K.G. Anantharaj Urs, Governor’s Special Representative (GSR) Rtn. Dr. M. K. Sachidanandan, Rotary Ivory City Club Service Director Rtn. Sunil Baliga, Secretary Rtn. Animesh Chaturvedi and many Rotarians from Rotary Ivory City, Rotary HD Kote President and members were present on the occasion.
