Rotary Club of Mysore West and Inner Wheel Club of Mysore West jointly organised a computer awareness workshop for Government Primary School teachers at Rotary West auditorium recently.
Rotary India Literacy Mission (RILM) has taken this literacy programme as one of its thrust areas in recent years. TEACH is the acronym given to this project, where: T stands for teacher training, E for e-learning, A for adult literacy, C for child development and H for happy school.
About 50 teachers including cluster resource persons benefited from the programme.
RI Dist. 3181 District Literacy Chair Rtn. PDG. R. Krishna inaugurated the workshop. Rotary West President Rtn. C.R. Hanumanth welcomed. Hon. Secretary Rtn. B.S. Srinath, Inner Wheel President Samana Srinath, Hon. Secretary Bharathi Urs, Rotary West TEACH Coordinator Rtn. A. Ramesh, Dist. Coordinator for e-learning Rtn. Nagesh Hansoge, Rtn. Naveen Gowda, Rtn. Veena Jairam and Rtn. Malleshi were present.
Phanish Kumar demonstrated on computer operations while C.R. Hanumanth spoke on stress management. Hemanth Kumar Mohan conducted activities and demonstrated usage of MS Office. All the participants were issued useful kit containing documents on computer application.
