Bengaluru: The Special Police team from Karnataka led by ACP Ravi Kumar has arrested rowdy-sheeter and former BBMP Corporator V. Nagaraj alias ‘Bomb Naga’ along with his two sons, Gandhi and Shastri from Arcot located at Vellore district in Tamil Nadu on Thursday.
Bomb Naga was reportedly hiding for the last 27 days after a raid on his residence in Begaluru last month.
After their arrest with the help of the Tamil Nadu Police, they were taken to Bengaluru where several cases were pending against them and in connection with the seizure of demonetised currencies worth crores of rupees from his residence.
Nagaraj and his sons were on the run since Apr. 14 when the Police raided his residence at Srirampura in Bengaluru West and seized Rs. 14.80 crore cash in demonetised currency notes from his residence.
Meanwhile, The Police, who brought Bomb Naga and his sons to Bengaluru yesterday are said to have taken them to an undisclosed place for interrogation and the accused are would to be produced before the Court today.
