Mysuru: The nearly three-month-old baby Aadyaveer Narasimharaja Wadiyar, son of Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, arrived at the Mysore Palace in a car along with his mother Trishikha Devi Wadiyar and one of the family members.
The baby was received at the private entrance to the Palace where the erstwhile royal family lives after aarati was performed.
In a statement, Yaduveer has said that they arrived in the city this morning and would soon visit the Chamundeshwari temple atop the Hill.
Explaining about the meaning of the name of his son, Yaduveer said that Aadya means Durgi or Chamundi. He (Aadyaveer) is named after the reigning deity of Mysuru for his personal well-being.
The reason for holding the naming ceremony in Bengaluru was purely personal and for convenience and not for any other reason, he said.
The future ceremonies will be performed on the instructions and guidance of his mother Pramoda Devi Wadiyar, he said.
Aadyaveer was born on Dec.6, 2017 in Bengaluru.
