Mysore/Mysuru: A bag containing Rs. 10 lakh was reportedly stolen from a car parked in front of the Mysuru West Sub-Registrar’s Office, near Vijayanagar Water Tank, in city on Monday evening. The incident has sent the contractor who lost the money into a tizzy, as it happened in a jiffy.

Contractor Govindegowda, a resident of Vijayanagar Second Stage in city had gone to the Sub-Registrar’s Office after parking his car in front of the Office, leaving behind the cash bag in the car. He went to the Office at around 4.20 pm and returned at 4.40 pm, only to find the side window glass of the driver’s seat broken. When he checked inside, he found the cloth bag containing the cash missing.

Govindegowda had borrowed the money from his friend and had gone to the Sub-Registrar’s Office on some work.
