Rs. 2.45 lakh cash stolen from scooter

Mysuru: A cash bag containing Rs. 2.45 lakh kept in the scooter dickey was reportedly stolen near Maharaja College Grounds yesterday.

Nanjundaswamy, a resident of K.G. Koppal and an employee of University of Mysore, had carried Rs. 2.45 lakh cash in his scooter from Karnataka Bank, Saraswathipuram branch, at about 2.25 pm. After reaching the Physical Education Department of the University at Maharaja College Grounds, Nanjundaswamy parked his scooter and went to the office where he worked. He returned in five minutes, when he found the cash bag containing Rs. 2.45 lakh missing from his scooter dickey.

Soon, he complained to the Lakshmipuram Police, who rushed to the spot and conducted mahazar. Nanjundaswamy, in his complaint, has suspected three men who followed him in a pulsar motorcycle.
