Rs. 20.51 lakh cash seized in four days at Sub-Urban Bus Stand

Mysore/Mysuru: The election officers manning the check-post at the entry point of Sub-Urban Bus Stand have seized a total of Rs. 20,51,900 lakh cash in four days.

This morning, the team of election officials, led by MCC Assistant Engineer K. Mani, who is deployed as the Check-Post Magistrate, seized Rs. 2,27,900 cash from a passenger who arrived in a KSRTC bus. As the passenger failed to produce documents for the cash, the officials seized the cash.

Yesterday, the election officials seized Rs. 1.54 lakh cash from a passenger, who failed to                         produce documents.

On last Wednesday, the same team had seized Rs. 8.25 lakh cash from a passenger, who arrived in the KSRTC bus from Bengaluru. As the person failed to produce any documents pertaining to the cash he was carrying, the election officials seized the cash.

On Thursday, the same team seized Rs. 2.45 lakh cash and Rs. 6 lakh cash from two persons, who had arrived in separate buses.
