Rs.3 lakh cash stolen from car

Mysuru: With the city Police busy in Dasara security, burglars are having a field day.

In the first incident, thieves have decamped with Rs.3 lakh cash kept in a car in Nazarbad on Thursday.

Ravikumar, a resident of Nazarbad had parked his car near the Garden Tennis Club at Nazarbad on Thursday morning (Oct.3) and left for some work. But he returned after sometime, only to find Rs.3 lakh cash kept in his car missing.

The thieves, after breaking open the rear windscreen of the car, decamped with the cash, following which Ravikumar lodged a complaint with the jurisdictional Nazarbad Police.

Ravikumar had recently sold his site at Nanjangud and had brought the cash to deposit it at a Bank in Nazarbad, when the incident happened, it is learnt. Nazarbad Police are investigating.

Mobile phones stolen

In another incident, burglars made away with three high-end mobile phones that were kept near the window of a house in Vijayanagar recently.

Guru, a resident of Vijayanagar, fell asleep after keeping his three cell phones near a window of his house on the night of Sept.29. But Guru found the three cell phones missing from the spot when he woke up the next morning. Vijayanagar Police have registered a case.
