Mysore/Mysuru: Rs. 50.99 crore has been released for development of various temples in Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan and Chamarajanagar, said Muzrai Minister Ramalinga Reddy.
Responding to a question by MLC K. Vivekananda at the Legislative Council during the ongoing Winter Session, Ramalinga Reddy said that the State Government during the 2023-24 financial year had released a total of Rs. 12.98 crore which included Rs. 6.43 crore for Mysuru, Rs. 2.69 crore for Mandya, Rs. 2.78 crore for Hassan and Rs. 1.7 crore for Chamarajanagar.
He added that a total of Rs. 19.67 crore had been release for Mysuru during 2024-25 financial year, Rs. 6.85 crore for Mandya, Rs. 5.4 crore for Hassan, Rs. 31.2 crore for Chamarajanagar and till December, 2025, Rs 1.80 crore was released for Mysuru, Rs. 35 lakh for Mandya, Rs. 1 crore for Hassan and Rs. 15 lakh for Chamarajanagar.
MLC K. Vivekananda also requested for the release of more funds for development and renovation of temples in all four districts. In his response, Minister Ramalinga Reddy said that he would review the requests received by Legislators, Ministers and Deputy Commissioners.
