Rs. 500 cr. sanctioned for Nanjangud development: MP

Chamarajanagar Congress MP R. Dhruvanarayan has said the State Government has sanctioned Rs. 500 crore for development of Nanjangud after former Minister V. Sreenivasa Prasad, who represented the Constituency, quit his Assembly seat in October last.

Speaking at a Congress rally in the town on Sunday, Dhruvarayan said that the State has climbed to No.3 spot in growth ranking of States and the Siddharamaiah led Congress Govt. should be credited for this.

Claiming that the Siddharamaiah Government has sanctioned more funds for SC, ST development than any other State in the Country, the MP lashed out at Sreenivasa Prasad, who is  the BJP candidate for Nanjangud bypoll, for doing little for the constituency when he was Minister is Siddharamaiah Cabinet.

Referring to Prasad’s personnel attack on the CM, the MP said that elections should be fought on development issues and  not on personal issues.
