Mysore/Mysuru: Miscreants have lifted Rs. 50,000 cash from the vanity bag of a woman tourist from Maharashtra at Mysuru Zoo on June 4.
The woman, identified as 43-year-old Shilpa Vybhav Sonar, a resident of Nasik in Maharashtra, had come to Karnataka on tour along with her family members.
The family had gone to Ooty from Bengaluru in a car. On June 4 afternoon, the family came to Mysuru and after a brief rest at a hotel, the family came to the Zoo at about 2.45 pm.
At about 3.15 pm, when the woman and her family members were near the tiger cage, she noticed the zip of her vanity bag open and on looking inside her bag, she found Rs. 50,000 cash stolen.
A case has been registered at Nazarbad Police Station.
