Rs. 9.77 crore tender fixed for Dasara expo: Ayub Khan

Mysore/Mysuru: Karnataka Exhibition Authority (KEA) Chairman Ayub Khan has said preparations are being made to organise Dasara Exhibition & the tender amount this time is capped at Rs. 9.77 crore.

It has been decided to conduct Dasara Exhibition this year for 90 days, from Oct. 3 to Dec. 31. The tender amount shall be covering entrance fee, commercial stalls, amusement park, food arena and vehicle parking fee. The last date to submit the tender is Sept. 14 and all the further process will be conducted online and the successful bidder can be known only after Sept. 20.

On the other hand, works are underway to spruce up exhibition premises by removing the weeds and shrubs. Till the tender related process will be completed, the ongoing works on cleaning the premises will be over, added Ayub Khan. Overall, it would be a meaningful Dasara Exhibition this year, with several plans in the making, said Ayub Khan.

KEA CEO K. Rudresh said, CM Siddaramaiah has issued specific instructions to organise the exhibition in a full fledged manner.

“Letters have been sent to the officers concerned to take steps to open Zilla Panchayat stalls and Government stalls. The officials have also agreed to complete the works of 21 stalls by the time exhibition opens door. That apart, we are in constant touch with other Departments,” he said.
