Mandya: A 9th standard student, who was staying at a hostel in Nagamangala and reportedly ran away from the hostel as he was not interested to study, has been traced at his parents’ house in Hunsur.
The boy, son of Manjunath of Hunsur, was staying in the hostel run by the Social Welfare Department and was pursuing his 9th standard.
On Dec. 27 last year, he went out to play and did not return to the hostel. Hostel Warden Ramegowda had lodged a missing complaint with the Town Police.
The missing boy, after roaming in Mandya and Bengaluru came to Mysuru, where he worked for a few days at a hotel and went to his parents’ house in Hunsur where he was traced.
When the Police took him to their custody, the boy is said to have told them that he was not interested to study and was going to the school because his parents forced him. He further stated that he had runaway on his own and there was no fault on the part of the hostel Warden.
The Police, later handed him over to the CDPO Office Inspector in Mysuru, who has handed over the boy to his parents, it is learnt.
