Mysore/Mysuru: Former Krishnaraja (KR) BJP MLA S.A. Ramdas has been appointed as the State Convenor for overseeing the implementation of Prime Minister’s 9 programmes in the State during the period from Sept. 16 to Oct. 15.
The tasks include registration of street vendors, Dairy Milk vendors and newspaper distributors for Micro-lending scheme, Co-ordination between Banks and the Local Bodies on behalf of applicants who are awaiting loan sanction or other benefits as the case may be, organisation of Loan Melas at Bank branches, Promotion of digital transactions, Linking of beneficiaries and their family members who are eligible for benefits under 8 Social Security Schemes including Pension, distribution of Identity Cards to all eligible beneficiaries, Progress review regarding implementation of Prime Minister’s Street Vendors Atma Nirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) Scheme during DISHA Meeting chaired by the MP, organisation of health camps for street vendors and their family members, organisation of Street Food Melas, providing space to beneficiaries after development of permitted Vending Zones and creation of awareness among the beneficiaries regarding Main Bhi Digital programmes.
The street vendors, cart vendors, newspaper distributors and milk vendors are asked to avail the benefits under the Central Government’s PM SVANidhi Scheme, a special Micro-credit facility for providing affordable loans to street vendors.
