Mysore/Mysuru: Sadvidya Educational Institutions (SEI), run by Kaveri Charitable Trust (KCT), celebrated their Annual Sports Day at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in city on Dec. 13.
Chief guest Prof. N. Nagaraja, Registrar (Evaluation), University of Mysore and also an alumnus of SEI, recalled his school days and how Sadvidya Institutions have shaped his future. He also underscored the importance of sportsman spirit.
Guest of honour Akash Aradhya, Eklavya Awardee and International Ice and Roller Speed Skater, highlighted the role of his parents and teachers in achieving his goal in sports.
Presiding over the event, SEI and KCT President Prof. M.S.K. Narahari Babu motivated the students to participate in all the activities. He also said that the number of our students representing at State and National-level sporting activities is increasing every year.
Secretary M.D. Gopinath urged the students to get inspired by the chief guest and the guest of honour.
The programme commenced with a well-coordinated march-past, where Sadvidya High School Band, Narayana Shastry Road, was adjudged the best team. For the first time, students performed yoga pyramid which was then followed by a synchronised band formation from both the branches of SEI.
Students participated enthusiastically in a variety of track and field events.
